Dear Artists,

We invite you to exhibit your artwork in FAVA's 46th Annual Members' Show from October 25 - December 7. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of our FAVA member artists to share their creativity with the community!

You can submit up to 2 works as a FAVA Member. You may join, or renew your membership in-person or RENEW ONLINE, or when you deliver your work ($20 Student / $35 Senior / $45 / individual, or $60 Family). There is no entry fee for the exhibition!

We will have copies of the application available at drop off if you need one!

Sales & Payment: Commission of sales will be disbursed by no later than January 30th.

Commission Rates: 40% FAVA / 60% Artist

 ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY

All FAVA members 18 years or older are eligible to submit works completed within the last 5 years and not previously shown at FAVA. All visual art media may be entered, including painting, works on paper, sculpture, photography, fiber, clay, wood, metal and glass. Work must be original member work (no kits), and not previously exhibited at FAVA. All work subject to final approval of the gallery staff.

SPECIFICATIONS

1 or 2 pieces may be submitted: total width of both wall-hung pieces may not exceed 5 feet. Some exceptions may be made with approval of the Gallery Director. Please call or email us to request permission, or ask any additional questions. 

REQUIREMENTS

Entry information and ID tags for each work must be complete, and are required at drop-off. FAVA will provide printed forms for you if you don’t have access to a printer.

Works such as drawings, watercolors, photos, prints must be sturdily framed and wired. 

**All works must be ready for hanging/display**

ENTRY FORM INFORMATION

Please fill out entry forms completely in clear print. Be sure to identify the medium, technique, and materials used in each piece to help us in labeling and selling, e.g., “cast bronze sculpture,” “pen and ink drawing,” “hand tinted B&W photo” or “weaving-linen and cotton.” We prefer having more, rather than less, information; attach additional pages as necessary. DELIVERING WORK TO FAVA

Pull up to back entrance of FAVA and bring work through the back entrance to deliver work during our regular business hours Tuesday, September 30th – Friday, October 10th 11am-5pm. You must bring a completed entry form or complete the form on arrival. Printed forms are available at drop-off if needed. Each work must have an ID Tag attached to the top right corner of the back of 2D work, or bottom/tag for 3D work. Please wait until your work is checked in by gallery staff for ID Tags before leaving.

Legal Agreement & Participant’s Waiver: Submission of work automatically waives any claim for damage or loss against Firelands Association for the Visual Arts (FAVA), including the officers, members, and employees. FAVA will exercise all reasonable care in handling entries, but will not assume any liability for loss or damage while in FAVA’s possession or in transit. Work should be independently insured by the artist. The artist is responsible for all shipment fees to and from FAVA except for in the case of a sale. The purchaser of work will be responsible for any incurred shipment/delivery fees at the time of sale. Usage Rights: The artist retains all copyright to the images submitted. By submitting images you are giving FAVA the right to use the images for the purpose of marketing the exhibition and for reproduction online. Artists grant the use of their image(s) as stated without further contact or compensation from FAVA. Artist’s recognition is provided with any use. Submitting artists will be added to FAVA’s email subscriber list. They may opt out using a link on each email at any time. FAVA reserves the right to adjust any deadline(s) as the result of causes beyond its immediate control. Payment of the submission fee indicates acknowledgement of all terms and conditions. The gallery will provide 60% commission to artists for the sale of works. 40% of sales will be retained by FAVA.
