Call for Artists: Square Foot Show

Big ideas, small format!

FAVA invites artists of all backgrounds to submit work for our Square Foot Show, a lively exhibition celebrating creativity within a compact frame. All submitted works must measure 12 x 12 inches (one square foot) or smaller—perfect for experimentation, bold statements, and playful exploration.

Open to all artists; all ages and experience levels are welcome.

Artwork Requirements:

Work must be 12 x 12 inches or smaller in overall dimensions.
All forms of media are welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, fiber, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and more.
Artwork must be ready to display (wired for hanging if applicable).

Artwork drop-off February 17-February 27 between 11 am and 5 pm.

Exhibition open March 7- March 29

Pick-up artwork March 31- April 3

How to Submit

Please complete the submission form (link above) and bring it with your artwork at drop-off— we will also have printed forms available at drop-off at FAVA, 39 South Main Street, Oberlin, Ohio.
The Square Foot Show is proof that meaningful art doesn’t have to be big to make an impact. We’re excited to see how artists rise to the challenge of working small!
