Artist Bio:

Chelsea Elise Craig has had a love of jewelry since early childhood. A course in jewelry and metals she took her sophomore year of high school further ignited her passion for the art form. Her high school work received two honorable mentions at the Scholastics, and won awards at the Beachwood Library Show and the Shaker Heights Library Show. Her work has also been accepted by the GAR Foundation and exhibited at the Summit Art Space Gallery. Craig holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Cuyahoga Community College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kent State University, where she majored in Jewelry and Metals with a minor in Glass.


Her most recent works reflect on her experience as an African American woman living in today's complicated society, touching on themes of identity, socio-political issues, black culture and history, and the female body.
