I Dream of You
Candace Vickers
January 16 – February 18
Located in FAVA’s South Gallery
Love is always an adventure, but finding love later in life can sometimes be unexpected and reveal parts of our inner world we didn’t know we needed to explore. Candace Vickers’ exhibition takes you on a journey through the story of a love affair, now long since passed. She presents her story as a collage through photographs, quotes, poems, and mixed media installation giving the viewer a snapshot of the many emotions she experienced along the way. Joy, ecstasy, pain, sorrow, but never regret.
**Preview images of the exhibition will be available after the first week of the exhibition.**

Artist Statement:
Although I was most certainly in the autumn of my life, I found love and passion. This show tells a story of my journey and how I grew and even bloomed while with my lover. I hope you can see what I saw, and feel how my love affair opened me up to the joy I experienced. There was sorrow, too, but no regret. It was an adventure I didn’t expect to have and didn’t know how much I needed it to grow and overcome the past.
